  We went late on a Tuesday. They were out of burnt ends...Bummer. we got the three meat plate to split. Ribs were fair. They were not reheated all of the way and not finished on the grill as advertised. Pulled pork was well done. Brisket was dry. Hoppin John was delicious and Mac and cheese and cornbread were both tasty. I will give it another shot on a busy Saturday when the meat is coming fresh off of the smoker.

  Went once when we moved here, food was mediocre but not disappointing. Went again recently (03/17) and got appetizers swimming in fryer grease, small portions, and rapidly cooling food. Burnt ends were more gristle and fat than meat. We wanted to believe, but I don't think we will be back for a third act.

  One of my favorite places to have lunch in Norfolk. The jalapenos are delicious and I am a big fan of "The Rodeo" sandwich. Service is always good and have not been disappointed by a single visit.
