My favorite large grocery store. Kroger brands are superior to name brands. Especially love their peanut butter, cottage cheese and sodas.

I've shopped at this Kroger since my y boys were six months old. They are now fifteen. This used to be a great store. I feel like they have just given up on this store in the last few years. The store looks dirty. The staff in the deli and some in the meat department are not friendly. The women in the bakery are very friendly and helpful though. This store has been through several store managers in the last three to four years. Some of the cashiers are rude. They don't even greet you. One in particular literally huffed when I walked up to her register. When I told her I would go elsewhere she seemed generally sorry but proceeded to tell me in a whiny tone how she was trying to go on break. I have personally witnessed a certain cashier speak sarcastically and raise her voice to a special needs worker. I shop there two to three days a week yet they are constantly out of products. I've gone in four times in two weeks for decaf Kcup coffee and they were out. When I asked to speak to someone in the grocery department, the certain cashier asked what I was looking for and when I told her she said "they stock the shelves every morning so if it's not on the shelf they are out of stock." (They open at 6am and I was there at 8am) I asked the store manager if someone could look in the back and two workers found eight boxes of Kcup coffee for me. Several times, I've gone to that store the day after a sale starts only to find they are out of the product and they don't get anymore in stock until after the sale ends. I wasn't offered a rain check. There was another cashier who talked endlessly about how she is getting off work soon and counted down the minutes she had left. I bought a lot of novelty items and she threw them down the conveyor belt and almost hit me with one. She also didn't greet me. They seem as if they don't care how rude the staff are or if the shelves are stocked. I've contacted the corporate office. I was told they are very busy and would get back to me as soon as they were able. That was about two weeks ago. I've recently started to go to the Va Beach Kroger which is a tad further but they have a gas station at that store and I save a lot on gas there. So far my experiences with this location has been very good. One more thing, I buy Caesar brand dog food about every 10 days (I buy twenty at a time) and just in the last few months I have had problems. They used to have about fifty of each flavor of food but recently I have only been able to find about eighteen containers. I love the savings and the Kroger brand products are great and I love, love, love that they hire special needs people but the store on Little Creek Road in Norfolk has gone beyond down hill very spectacularly.
